Some considerations for Saturday’s election:

The Greens:
Are strong-left party with a homosexual leader. No Christian should ever consider giving their vote to this God hating party. I have taken some facts from the Greens website. On the basis of Green policy it would be sinful for Christians to vote for them in any election. Some of their concerning policies are highlighted below.

Here is some disturbing info from their Goals and Measures, “Policy D8: Sexuality and Gender Identity”.
 GoalsThe Australian Greens want:
6. legal and social environments free from harassment, abuse, vilification, stigmatisation, discrimination, disadvantage or exploitation on the basis of sexuality or gender identity.
7. the legalisation of marriage between two consenting adults regardless of sexuality or gender identity.
8. de facto relationships to have equal status in law and government policy regardless of sexuality and gender identity.
9. access, regardless of sexuality and gender identity, to adoption, fostering, artificial insemination and in vitro fertilisation procedures.
10. the education system to provide age-appropriate information about the diversity of sexuality.
11. access to the full range of medical and health services required by people with needs related to their sexuality and gender identity.

Measures
The Australian Greens will:12. legislate to remove discrimination against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Intersex (LGBTI) people in federal legislation.13. require governments and their agencies to consult with LGBTI communities and representative groups on the development of policies and programs that affect LGBTI people.14. initiate national anti-discrimination public education campaigns.15. legislate to allow marriage regardless of sexuality or gender identity.16. introduce legislation to ensure fair and equal treatment under Commonwealth law of all relationships regardless of sexuality and gender identity.17. support nationally consistent age of consent laws.18. remove convictions for consensual homosexual acts from legal records.19. end the inappropriate application of offensive behaviour, indecent behaviour, ‘promotion’ and incitement laws to non-heterosexual acts.20. fund services to support and protect LGBTI youth, in particular suicide prevention, peer support, coming out, counselling, and housing services and programs.21. establish intersex as a gender recognised by the legal system.22. support the provision of accurate information, counselling and referral for individuals with, and parents and carers of, infants with intersex conditions.23. support gender assignment for people born with an intersex condition being made only when they are able to express personal sexual identity.24. support the granting of political asylum on humanitarian grounds to people persecuted in their own countries on the basis of their sexuality or gender identity.”
In “Policy D5: Women,” section 20 asserts that the Greens will ”ensure that all women have access to legal, free and safe pregnancy termination services including unbiased counselling.” “Policy A7: Population” highlights in section 15 that the Greens will “ensure that Australian family planning programs, both domestically and overseas, are adequately funded to deliver services in the context of reproductive health programs which increase the power of girls and women to determine their own reproductive lives, and increase the understanding of men of their reproductive responsibilities.”
The Greens also support and promote a global, one world-type government. “Policy E5: Global Governance” lists the following six points under Principles: 1. global governance is essential to meet the needs of global peace and security, justice, human rights, poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability.2. effective means of global environmental governance are needed to halt and reverse the current trends towards environmental decline across the globe, especially with regard to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change.3. the system of global governance must be reinvigorated.4. major structural reform is needed to provide stronger, more effective and more representative multilateral institutions.5. the leading role of the United Nations (UN) in the maintenance of international peace and security must be recognised and respected by all countries.6. the international financial institutions that govern aid, development, trade, and transnational financial movements require extensive reform to enable them to provide global economic justice.”

Voting Green places your trust in a political framework that is anti-God’s Word. All of these policies were simply taken from the Greens website: http://greens.org.au/policies.

Labor

A Labor government led by Julia Gillard would be anti-Biblical Christianity, anti-Bible and anti-Gospel. On the basis of Labor and their leader's socialist/communist leanings a Christian vote to this party would be sinful.

Many of the female Labor candidates are part of the notorious EMILY’s List (http://www.emilyslist.org.au/). The name is achromous for Early Money is Like Yeast. EMILY’s List provides “financial, political and personal support program for progressive Labor Women candidates and Members of Parliament.”[1] “Any woman who supports the purposes and principles of EMILY’S List is eligible to apply for annual membership.”[2] These are some of the principles and purposes disclosed on the List’s website[3]:

Equity We believe women deserve equality in politics, business, the community sector and the home. This is because equality is a fundamental human right that should be enjoyed by all. Diversity We believe democracy is enhanced through the diversity of people participating in it. More women in parliament, on corporate boards and in our courts lead to greater diversity of views and therefore better public policy outcomes. Choice We believe women must have control over their own bodies and choices in their lives.Reproductive Freedom empowers women and men to choose if, when and how to begin the important journey into parenthood, without fear of discrimination, coercion or violence. I have met thousands and thousands of pro-choice men and women. I have never met anyone who is pro-abortion. Being pro-choice is not being pro-abortion. Being pro-choice is trusting the individual to make the right decision for herself and her family, and not entrusting that decision to anyone wearing the authority of government in any regard.- Hilary Rodham-Clinton, Secretary of State, United States of America, Member EMILY's List USA

EMILY’s list promotes women who support abortion (i.e. choice), homosexuality (i.e. diversity) and egalitarianism (i.e. equity). Julie Gillard was a founding member and is actively involved with EMILY’s List. I believe this speaks for itself and precludes any Christian voting for a Labor Government headed by Ms Gillard. You can find a full listing of EMILY’s List ladies here: http://www.emilyslist.org.au/our-women.

Liberal

It is concerning that Tony Abbott will not seek to modify and/or remove current abortion legalisation should he be voted in on the weekend. This position seems one against the conscience of a Catholic man.

It is also disappointing that Denison Liberal candidate, Cameron Simpkins, has revealed that he may cross the floor and support homosexual marriage.

To me, a Liberal vote is the lesser of many evils. However, the Liberal Party is still pro-big government and thus is not following the Biblical pattern

Guy Barnett (Liberal Tasmania), a great voice for Christians, needs your support by giving him your first preference. He may not get in if you simply tick the Liberal box.

I recommend all Christian’s to research who they will vote for using the Australian Christian Lobby website, Australia Votes: http://www.australiavotes.org. You can go to the Touchstone issues to view answers from the major parties. You can also view the party’s policies here: http://www.australiavotes.org/policies/.
